This is the Ta Prohm temple which featured heavily in Tomb Raider. The temple dates from the 12th century and when it was rediscovered the archaeologists from the French School of the Far East decided not to restore it to the same extent as other temples. The trees that gradually grew over the temple have been left in place and some of the buildings left in their ruined state.
This is the famous Angkor Wat, built in the early 12th century and the best preserved of all the Angkor temples. To get the sunrise shots I left my hotel before five in the morning and there were already some hundreds of people there. Within a very short time there were thousands. Thankfully I was early enough to get a good uninterrupted view of the sunrise.
These pictures were taken on Lantau Island, home to the Po Lin Monastery and the Tian Tan Buddha. The Buddha statue is 85 feet tall and made of bronze. I also tried my hand at a couple of Chinese landscape style photographs.
